Prerequisite or corequisite units are presented within each program

Learning unit contents

Mastering the French language is one of the basic skills needed to succeed at university. This remedial course offers exercises to identify errors in spelling, vocabulary, grammar and comprehension, and aims to bring students back up to speed.

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

By the end of these remedial sessions, students will have considered some of the key skills required in the French language to continue their university studies.

Prerequisite knowledge and skills

Level of proficiency in the French language equivalent to that attested by the CESS (Certificat d'Enseignement Secondaire Supérieur).

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Each week, students will have to prepare specific exercises on their own (estimated work time: 2 hours); at the end of their 5-week course, they will log in for an online session (estimated work time: 1.5 hours) during which they will have the opportunity to ask any questions they may have to the teachers. Personal work is therefore essential for these remedial units to run smoothly.

Mode of delivery (face to face, distance learning, hybrid learning)
