Learning unit contents
- This course constitutes a general introduction to sociology. It adress few issues in contemporary sociology and main paradigms.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
- discover sociological explanations of contemporary social issues
- Introduction to sociological theory and main authors.
- Positioning sociology within the social sciences.
- Understand the main paradigms and their scientific status.
Prerequisite knowledge and skills
Good general culture and class attendance is highly recommended.
