Learning unit contents

- Policy about well-being at work, including policy about violence, moral and sexual harassment in the workplace

- Internal and external services for well-being and stress prevention

- Concepts and theoretical models related to the well-being (eg, occupational stress, psychosocial risks, burnout, job engagement, ...).

- Methodological aspects and assessments of psychosocial risks

- Focus on different themes such as work-family conciliation, moral harassment, burnout, ...

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

- To be able to use the Belgian policy about well-being at work, the constraints for the employer, the internal and external structures of the organization that have to deal with this topic


- To be familiar with the various models outlining the process of well-being at work

- Be familiar with the concepts associated with well-being at work, as well as risk assessment and prevention techniques, and apply them to a clinical case.


- To train the students to criticize for different interventions proposed to the organizations.

Additional information:

The final grade is based on a written exam that consists of a first part with closed questions (true-false ; on 20 points) and a second part with open questions on a clinical case (on 20 points). The first part evaluates the knowledge of the subject matter while the second part evaluates the understanding of the subject matter and the ability to apply and analyze it. Therefore, the student must obtain a minimum score of 10/20 in each part.

- In case of failure in the first part (T/F), the second part (QO) will not be corrected by the teacher and a score of 0/20 is therefore assigned for this second part. The overall score given is the average between score of the first part and the score of 0/20 for the second part. During the consultation session, the expected answers for the second part (QO) will be explained to the students present at this session.

- If the student fails only the second part (OQ), the final grade will correspond to the failing grade of this second part. The score of the 1st part is therefore not taken into account in the calculation of the overall score. 

- If the student passes both parts, the final grade will be the average of the two grades.

If the student sucesses the T/F in the 1st session in january, an exemption is granted on this part.
