Learning unit contents

Mastering the French language is one of the basic skills needed to succeed at university. This remedial programme offers a self-assessment of your skills, followed by self-remediation based on two online tools.

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

At the end of this remedial programme, the student will have acquired a better command of French for academic purposes.

Prerequisite knowledge and skills

A level of proficiency in the French language equivalent to that attested by the CESS (Certificat d'Enseignement Secondaire Supérieur).

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

The system includes :


- a self-assessment to be submitted on eCampus, comprising 60 multiple-choice questions (spelling, vocabulary, syntax and comprehension),


- access to two self-help tools ("Pratique du discours scientifique et technique" on eCampus and Selfaute, a tool from the Pôle Liège-Luxembourg)

Mode of delivery (face to face, distance learning, hybrid learning)
