January session.
The student rereads and comments with the professor one of the texts read during the first semester.
June session.
The student is given a short unread passage of Sanskrit text, which he/she must transliterate and analyze in about 2 hours.
The partial test organized in January is dispensatory. The mark will count for 5% of the overall mark in June if the student passes (> or = 10/20). If the mark is insufficient (< 10/20), it will not interfere in the global mark and the student will be questioned on the whole subject in June.
