Learning unit contents
This course provides an introduction to the main HRM practices (recruitment, selection, integration, training, compensation, appraisal, mobility, working time management, labor relations, departure management) and their strategic implications. More specifically, the course focuses on the strategic dimension of HRM policies implemented in organizations. In the face of the universalism and prescriptiveness dominant in most textbooks, mainly of North American origin, the course seeks to make students aware of the diversity of HRM practices and the importance of context in their implementation. Students will be introduced to the contingent approach to HRM, based on theories of organizational configurations and HRM conventions.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
