Learning unit contents

[Prof. Neysen's Section] This part of the course focuses on the strategic diagnosis of a healthcare organization. It covers topics such as the organization's mission, vision for the future, goals and objectives, organizational culture, stakeholders, the general context influencing the strategy (macro-environmental factors), competitive analysis, internal analysis of strengths and weaknesses, and other key elements that contribute to a thorough and objective diagnosis of a specific organization.

[Prof. Paquay's Section] Analysis of the effective implementation of a project within an institution (the four phases of project execution, associated tools, etc.).

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

[Prof. Neysen's Section] By the end of this part of the course, the student should be able to:

  • Understand the key components of strategic analysis;
  • Master the tools related to the strategic diagnosis of an organization;
  • Apply a strategic analysis approach to a specific organization.
[Prof. Paquay's Section]

  • Understand the major phases of a project methodology;
  • Be able to create a project charter.
