- A brief history of Remote Sensing
- The physical basis of remote sensing
- Satellites & sensors
- Images and their properties
- Image enhancements and corrections
- Georeferencing and Orthorectification
- Image interpretation and analyses
- Image Classification
The practical lessons address the following topics:
- Composite images and classification
- Flood detection
- Time series analysis
- Radar interferometry
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
This course provides an introduction to remote sensing, focusing on the fundamental principles and key concepts of remote sensing.
Practical sessions will allow the students to strengthen theoretical concepts and apply the methods seen in the theoritical lectures.
