Learning unit contents
A first part of the theoritical lectures will be devoted to the issue of heterogeneity and class management.
A second part of the lectures will be devoted to the concept of diversity. The concept will be analyzed critically. Then, the issue of gender, socioeconomical and sociocultural equality will be developped.
In the pratical sessions, the students will experiment a programme aimed at managing students heterogeneity. This programme will also allow the students to act as active citizens.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
At then end of the course, the students will have to be able:
- To master a body of scientific knowledge from the educational sciences and disciplines around education science.
- To argue a position regarding an education issue.
- To communicate orally and in writing on complex issues relating to education, according to specific communication standards.
- To communicate and interact respectfully and constructively by demonstrating listening skills , openness , assertiveness and distancing .
- To integrate and work effectively within a team, get involved in a responsible and supportive way.
- To adopt a posture of actor aware of its social responsibility.
- To analyze the issues and societal effects of teaching practices.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The theoretical course will be based on oral presentations supported by power points. Documentary resources/scientific papers will be put at the disposal of the students, some as compulsory readings, some as ressources. Practical class will allow the students to experiment and criticize an educational situation.

Attendance at practical work (February 15th and 22nd OR March 8th and 15th) is mandatory. An alternative (probably two Saturdays) will be offered to some students (for instance, students employed during this period).
If the health situation requires it, theoritical sessions will be organized on eCampus (Teams) an alternative will be offered for the practical sessions during the same periods.

Notes and bibliographical references will be put at the disposal of the students via e-campus.

The theoritical part will be assessed via a written examination (true-false, open-ended, either "face-to-face", either on eCampus).

Practical part
The assessement will include the participation to mandatory lessons (two Saturdays, no possibiliy of second session) and a personal work on those pratical lessons.
Each part (theorical exam and practical sessions) is 50% of the global score. Each part must receive 8/20 min. to be credited.
