- Organization and functioning of the educational system of the Brussels Wallonia Federation, its institutions and its policies: reference legislative texts and statistical indicators, decisional levels, evolution of education policies


- Main insights on the Brussels Wallonia Federation from international surveys (PISA, TALIS)

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

- Become aware of the issues surrounding the educational system in the French Community of Belgium and place these issues in a socio-historical perspective.

- Get to know the organization of the educational system 


- Read and interpret statistical indicators on the school system.

- Understand and take a critical look at the educational system in the French Community of Belgium.

The course is based on lectures. It requires a significant commitment from the students.
