Professional didactics and undergraduate teacher training

  The course is organized in conjunction with the internship ZFEN0013-B-a and aims to provide students with the necessary resources via three types of content: "professional didactics" anchors, "initial teacher training" anchors and modules preparing for support, and in particular for conducting reflective interviews.

The internship is organized in conjunction with the PEDA1157 course and aims to provide students with the necessary resources via three types of content: "professional didactics" anchors, "initial teacher training" anchors and modules preparing for support, and in particular for conducting reflective interviews.

Professional didactics and undergraduate teacher training

The general objective of the course is to develop your skills and your professional identity as teacher trainers. More specifically, the course, followed by the internship, aims to broaden your skills in professional didactics, initial teacher training and reflective support.

 

Specific objectives of the course

The objective of the course is to enable you to master certain basics relating to teacher training, professional development and reflective support.

 

Specific objectives of the internship

The specific objective of this internship is to enable you to implement an approach to supporting future teachers during internships.

 

Overall, two key skills of the future teacher trainer are targeted:

• promote in a future teacher an approach to analyzing their practices by mobilizing different resources to their advantage (data collection through observation and video, comparison of points of view in pairs and in a larger group (on return from the internship) and theoretical insight);
• engage a future teacher in a process of awareness and change of their teaching practices.

Internship on "Support" Part 1

The course ZFEN0013-A-a is a co-requisite to this work placement .

• Conferences;
• Discussions about concepts and theoretical debates;

• settings in situation preparing for the accompaniments : use of the video tool in building ( techniques, spirit and precautions); elaboration of observation tools ; documentary research and management of regulatory interviews;

Internship on "Support" Part 1

The internship focuses on one aspect of the teacher trainer profession: supporting future teachers (FE) in their professional practice. A student in pedagogy (future teacher trainer: FF) will form two duos, each with a third-year preschool student from the Haute École HELMo "Sainte Croix" (future teacher: FE). The internship will take place in the internship class of the student being followed. Each of the main stages of the internship is prepared by course sessions at ULiège. A document prepared with the professors of psychopedagogy who welcome you will be given to each student (FF and FE) during the first meeting. This document specifies the terms of the collaboration.

  This course is closely related to the training course ZFEN0013-B-a focused on the practice of reflective support.

The course and didactical exercices are closely linked to this first training course :

• Anticiaption and preparation of the tasks to carry out on the ground ;
• conceptualization and theorizing.
