Learning unit contents
The teaching unit is made up of several compulsory modules, linked together in such a way as to progressively equip the student in terms of both didactics (tools, reference framework, skills, devices, etc.) and methodology, and to lead him/her to the creation of an activity or device that he/she will implement during his/her internship at the Haute École.
Course content :
- Discovery of the "ECA" reference framework and its guidelines, articulation with the "PECA";
- Art history;
- Work on the various aspects of the reference framework: links and specific features of the three modes of expression (French and physical expression, visual expression and musical expression), transversality and interdisciplinarity, encounters with cultural sites and players, citizenship aspects, reception of a work of art, creation and creativity;
- Analysis of educational resources ;
- Learning nodes, didactic principles and methodological issues specific to cultural and artistic education;
- Analysis and design of activities.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
At the end of the teaching unit, students will be able to :
- describe the main didactic concepts and principles of cultural and artistic education ;
- analyze a teaching resource with the help of the theoretical insights covered in the courses;
- identify one or more learning nodes related to cultural and artistic education;
- appropriate institutional and educational resources with a view to developing an activity or device to be tested during their internship at the Haute École.
Prerequisite knowledge and skills
- Minimum knowledge of the ECA reference framework and the knowledge, skills and competencies to be acquired as part of the "Tronc commun";
- Good mastery of the French language.

Varied methods: lectures, exercises and small-group work, reflection on a reading portfolio, etc.

The assessment of the teaching unit will be integrated with that of the internship report for the "Didactics and training sites" module as a whole.
It will consist of a presentation and reflective analysis of a didactic resource discovered during the observation internship.
Evaluation criteria :
- Clarity of resource presentation
- Depth and relevance of analysis
- Use of relevant theoretical concepts
- Correctness and quality of written language
Work placement(s)
The observations made during the observation period in classes will be used within the teaching unit.
During the courses, students will practice designing didactic activities in preparation for their Haute École internship.
