Learning unit contents
Description of the teaching unit:
The teaching unit is designed to enable students to acquire knowledge and skills related to their teaching practice in secondary physical education. The topics covered are specific to the didactics and pedagogy linked to this type of context, and are designed to start from the students' field experience to provide them with concrete support.
Table of contents :
- Presentation of the core curriculum and skills references for the various years concerned
- Presentation of learning and assessment methods linked to these references
- Presentation of pedagogical models specific to different teaching levels
- Learning how to create a teaching sequence based on these pedagogical models
- Learning how to use teaching resources (e.g. eClass)
- Learning to analyze one's own practice in the field
- Learning how to design self-assessment tools
- Raising awareness of the reflective aspect of one's own practice and of a learning sequence (for teachers in higher education, but also for Physical Education students).
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
At the end of this teaching unit, students will be able to design a teaching sequence for higher education in physical education, based on the competency framework and appropriate pedagogical models. They will also be able to evaluate their didactic sequence and practice, and to encourage physical education students to adopt the same approach in their courses.
