Units courses prerequisite and corequisite

Prerequisite or corequisite units are presented within each program

Learning unit contents

In this teaching unit, the aim is to develop algorithmic thinking trough activities without computer. To reach this goal, we can address several themes, such as pattern regognition, graph theory, image processing, flowcharts, ...

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

At the end of this course, students will develop their algorithmic process. They will understand the concepts and will know basic notions of algorithms.
At the end of this teaching unit, students will be able to:

- understand and write flowcharts including a condition, a loop, a logical operator;

- encode and decode images;

- appropriate algorithmic learning sequences from P5 to S3 of the core curriculum;

- use the techniques learned in the course to produce valid reasoning.
