Learning unit contents
Managing bibliographic references is a vital, yet often labor-intensive, step in the research and scientific writing process.
The objective of this training is to introduce the basic features of Zotero, an open-source reference management software. Using a tool like Zotero will help you streamline the management of your bibliographic references and automate time-consuming tasks that are cumbersome when done manually, such as changing the citation style in a document.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
At the end of the training, you will be able to:
- retrieve bibliographic references selected from queries made in databases, catalogs, etc.;
- organize and manage these references efficiently;
- insert citations in the text and automatically generate a bibliography in the correct format (in line with scientific journal styles);
- share your references with other scientists.
