Learning unit contents
The primary goal of the teaching unit "Professional Orientation Internship (Part I, II, and III)" is to promote the development of students' professional identity through active and reflective immersion in various professional environments. This approach is implemented through two observation and practical experience internships, where students will have the opportunity to build, experience, and reflect on their professional journey.
Within the framework of the internship support seminar (SAS), student guidance will be conducted in synergy with the research project of the Observatory of Architectural Professions (META). This integrated approach will draw on theoretical concepts from various fields of the humanities, educational sciences, and communication, thereby enriching the students' reflection and practice.
- **Sociology of work and professions:** Activity / Employment / Work / Profession, Professional identity, Tasks and division of labor, Professional skills, Hard skills / Soft skills, Motivation profile

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The teaching unit includes an Internship Support Seminar (SAS), job interviews with internship supervisors, and two distinct immersion internship components, one long and one short, each supervised by a different internship mentor.
The SAS (from 16/09 to 20/09, on 26/09, and every Thursday in October) initiates the learning cycle. This phase, focused on acquiring information and analysis, takes place in person and is divided into two groups (with subgroups) according to a set schedule. The sessions include workshops, debates, practical exercises, observation, and reflection, related to the previously mentioned content. Two days are reserved for job interviews with potential internship supervisors at the future internship site.
The job interviews (from 20/09 to 03/10 inclusive) aim to familiarize future architects with the realities of the professional market. This is the first contact with the environments considered for the long-term immersion internship. The allocation of internship supervisors is made at the end of this process. Students must submit their CV, cover letter, internship project, and online professional profile on eCampus by 25/10 at 6:00 PM.
The short-term immersion internship (2 x 8 hours) (from 24/10 to 05/12 inclusive and from 13/01 to 24/01) aims to allow future architects to discover another aspect of the architecture profession compared to that explored during the long-term immersion. The internship location is assigned during the in-person SAS sessions. Students must submit all administrative documents related to the long-term immersion internship by October 25th at 6:00 PM to access the internship.
The long-term immersion internship (10 x 8 hours) (from 24/10 to 05/12 inclusive and from 13/01 to 24/01) allows future architects to explore different contexts and professions in architecture. Students must submit all administrative documents related to the long-term immersion internship by October 25th at 6:00 PM to access the internship.
IMPORTANT REMARKS: The internships take place in all professional environments relevant to architects' competencies. The faculty has a list of internship supervisors, but students may propose other host sites based on their project, subject to approval by the course instructor. A list of internship supervisors is available on the eCampus platform. WARNING! Participation in the SAS and the submission of all administrative documents are mandatory to access the internships and the first session.
