Schedule
Units courses prerequisite and corequisite
Prerequisite or corequisite units are presented within each program
Learning unit contents
A few weeks are devoted to a general and intensive review of the main difficulties of German grammar (declensions, conjugations, syntax...). Following this, we will go through numerous translation exercises having to do with history, art history, philosophy, etc.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
At the end of this course, students must be capable of translating a text of average difficulty. To achieve this objective, students must ensure they learn the german grammar and the specific basic vocabulary.
Prerequisite knowledge and skills
Participation in the course is difficult for students with no knowledge of German. We strongly recommend that any students with little knowledge of German should participate actively from the beginning of the course.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods
One text and/or numerous sentences to be translated every week.
Mode of delivery (face to face, distance learning, hybrid learning)
