Learning unit contents

The objective of this course is to provide the student with elements required to interpret and to analyze critically a systematic review - meta-analysis on a topic related to psychological sciences.

The course focuses on the following topics:

  • Systematic reviews and other types of reviews;
  • Advanced bibliographic search;
  • Meta-analyses;
  • Assessment of the risk of bias of included studies;
  • Critical approach to systematic reviews - meta-analyses. 
 

 

 

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

At the end of this course, the student will be able to interpret and to analyze critically a systematic review - meta-analysis on a topic related to psychological sciences.

 

 

 

Prerequisite knowledge and skills

The skills acquired in PSYC0085-2 will be useful in achieving the competencies in METO1024-1.

 

 

 

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

This course will consist of face-to-face sessions (including theoretical presentations and guided exercises), several podcasts, and individual work at home.
