Learning unit contents

The first part of the course consists of a general introduction to history of science and description of the main trends of this field. This presentation is illustrated by numerous particular studies. The second part of the course is organized like a seminar. Each of the students has to study in depth a question and to make an oral presentation of the results of his/her work.

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

With the help of the teacher, carry out a philosophical analysis of a specific question in the history of science and then present the results of the investigation in a clear and interesting way.
