Learning unit contents

The course aims at providing students and future teachers with theoretical, conceptual, and practical tools to:

1) problematize issues of efficiency and equity in educational systems in light of educational research


2) analyze recent educational policies in light of this framework.

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

1) Know and identify knowledge from educational research to problematize and discuss issues of effectiveness and equity in educational systems;

2) mobilize these resources in a relevant manner to analyze recent educational policies in light of the reference frameworks and research discussed in the course

3) develop a critical eye on the contributions and limitations of the studied researches

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

The course consists of 45 hours. 

It is organized around lectures, activities, practical exercises, time dedicated to the regulation of students' work.

A significant commitment from students is required.The teaching team provides support to students in the completion of their work.
