Learning unit contents

Each profession defines its own deontological rules. When a student is introduced to a more theoretical vocation, he or she is led to analyze in a critical manner the texts that frame the journalist's profession, in particular, and the sphere of the media in general. Then, during a sequence intended to be of practical value, the student will be confronted with problematic case studies (keeping sources secret, conscience clause, plagiarism, right to respond, legal problems...). In order to enrich the discussion, many cases will be debated with professionals from the sector under discussion (journalists, lawyers, judges, experts in the deontology of the media...).
