Learning unit contents
This course considers the history of philosophy through its methods, in particular the history of hellenestic and roman philosophy, considering the relation between theories and practices. We will try to draw exercises from these authors, that can be practiced alone or collectively, but also to seek for adaptations to our times.
The five lessons will deal with the following topics:
- Ancient philosophy as a practice
- The Stoics
- The Epicurians
- The Sceptics
- The Cynics
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
With its restricted overview of the history of philosophy, this course offers an original view. It will provide participants with a set of tools that can be reproduced in their context of work.
