Learning unit contents

Management of emergency situations, alone and without material (first aid), as well as by a team with basic resuscitation material.

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

At the end of the training, the student will be able to :
Perform high quality CPR with the help of an EAD (adult and pediatric)
Apply the general principles of performing a CPR in a team:


  • ABCDE approach
  • Management of CPR material (balloon, oxygen, aspiration, ...)
  • Instrumental management of the airway
  • Notions of team work

Additional information:

Introductory course
During the course, participants will review the first aid notions (B1 course), and will receive an introduction to the notions of resuscitation using material.
Individual learning
An individual learning of the 'Premiers Secours' book and of the course content is necessary for preparing the practical session.
Repetition
Small groups of students  undertake formative evaluation using the formulom of the SMART.
This evaluation prepares the students to the theoretical evaluation modalities.
It does not influence the results of the certificative evaluation.
Practical sessions
Two practical sessions aim at assimilating emergency gesture and techniques, targeted according to the objectives of this course.
The students will be assigned to groups by their Pedagogic Coordinator (PC). Group change will only be possible through permutations between students, that must be validated by the PC.
