Study of poets and prose writers associated with the Dutch East Indies (H.A. Meijer, Louis Couperus, Jan Prins, H.J. Friedericy, Hella Haasse, Han Resink, ...).

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

Familiarize students with (post)colonial discourses and ideological undercurrents in Dutch literary texts.
