Improvement of researching techniques and methods in medieval history
In 2024-2025, the course will be devoted to the study of items from the correspondence of Wibald de Stavelot.
Final assignment
The completion of the end of cycle work (TFC) is an opportunity for the student to implement the theoretical knowledge, the heuristic approach, the critical skills and the writing skills acquired throughout his training. The student will work independently on an original subject, taking advantage regularly, and according to the terms agreed between them, of the advice of the teacher who provides the Exercises course to which the TFC is linked.

- build up a corpus of sources

This course will be common to students enrolled in HIST0274-1 and HIST0019-3
The suspension of certain lessons could be compensated by written work
An on-site visit and visits to archives or libraries outside the university could be organised.
An educational trip to Trier will be organised on 27 and 28 March 2025. Full details will be communicated at the trip presentation session on Monday 7 October at 1pm.
