Learning unit contents
The "Human Resources" course for the Master in Public Health aims to equip students with the operational skills necessary to effectively manage human resources in the healthcare sector. The course focuses on the various aspects of daily team management, with a particular emphasis on negotiation techniques, managing interviews and meetings, and reflective practice to improve internal processes.
In addition to these practical skills, the course provides a solid theoretical foundation on the specifics of human resources in the current hospital environment, considering institutional dynamics and challenges unique to the healthcare sector. Special attention is also given to labor legislation, where students will apply their knowledge through exercises in scheduling and creating work shifts in compliance with current legal standards
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
- Be able to provide feedback with sound judgment.
- Be able to assume various roles in interdisciplinary meetings.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The teaching methods for this course unit are designed to achieve the learning outcomes through a blend of theoretical instruction and experiential learning. The course will combine traditional lectures with hands-on simulations, allowing students to apply theoretical knowledge in practical, real-world scenarios.
The methodology emphasizes experiential learning, where students actively engage in simulations that mirror the complexities of human resource management in healthcare settings. These activities will include role-playing exercises, case studies, and interactive workshops, all aimed at reinforcing the practical application of concepts such as feedback delivery, role assumption in interdisciplinary meetings, and the creation of work schedules. This approach ensures that students not only understand the theoretical foundations but also develop the critical skills needed to navigate the challenges of human resources in the healthcare sector.
