Learning outcomes of the learning unit

at the end of the class, the student will be able to identify the most common minerals and rocks, and to understand and acquire the notion of geological time, the geological processes and their impacts of the biosphere, et the basic principles of paleontology (what is a fossil, how does it form, what can we learn from fossils)
