Learning outcomes of the learning unit

They will be able to define and understand the complexity of ecosystem services and to estimate their relative importance in the landscape with different types of indicators.

They will be able to use ecosystem services as indicators of the interactions between actors and users of a landscape.

They will be able to develop holistic and holistic ecosystem services assessments by applying them in particular to landscape architecture or agroecology.

They will understand the essential elements to be taken into account to develop functional agrobiodiversity in landscapes.

Prerequisite knowledge and skills

Good knowledge in ecology, andscape analysis and agriculture

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

The course is interactive with students taking charge of part of the material on the basis of a series of bibliographical references but the current health situation (COVID) will be taken into account to allow a virtual logic.

Face-to-face (inverted classes in particular). The practical part is based on a report on the study of agricultural or other systems in transition (Prof. K. Maréchal).
