Further information:
The support seminar is divided into several sessions that follow the logical process of developing a research paper. The aim is to help students develop a working method for their final thesis.
Session 1 - Towards the production of a thesis - covers the presentation of the seminar, with an introduction to its structure and sequence. This session also covers the development of problematization and the formulation of research questions, based on the reading of scientific works.
Session 2 - Searching for scientific sources to produce scientific literature - is devoted to the presentation of search engines relevant to bibliographic research, and to the analysis and discussion of information from bibliographic sources. In addition, the session aims to explain how to produce a theoretical framework that puts forward a precise problematization.
Session 3 - Drawing up a scientific literature review based on our bibliographical research - is dedicated to preparing a detailed literature review that provides an initial contextualization of the research object.
Session 4- Addressing the deontological and ethical issues to be applied in a field of inquiry - This session focuses on ethics, the researcher's posture, and how data should be collected from the target population.
Session 5 - Applying a method of analysis to our material - addresses questions of epistemology and methodology in the humanities and social sciences in general. This session also recalls the rudiments of qualitative, quantitative and mixed data analysis.
Session 6 - Presenting results clearly in preparation for interpretation - aims to present the results obtained in a clear and organized way, in preparation for their subsequent interpretation. This session also aims to provide guidelines for undertaking an informed interpretation with a view to developing a quality discussion.
Session 7 - Defending our research - The aim of this session is to provide the guidance needed to present and defend the research work with scientific rigor, as well as to answer the questions of the jury members in depth.
Note: The number and content of sessions can be adjusted according to the needs of the students. If certain sessions require more in-depth explanations, or if specific requests emerge, adaptations will be made to fully meet the expectations of all students.
