Learning unit contents

The course is helde every old year (2025-2026, 2027-2028, ...).

The course focuses on :

  • Consumer credit - Book VII of the Code of Economic Law - European Directive 2088/48 - European Directive 2023/2225
  • Mortgage credit - Book VII of the Code of Economic law - European Directive 2014/17
  • Bank financing for small and medium-sized enterprises - Act of 21 December 2013
These laws are analysed in relation to the law of obligations, the law of guarantees and securities and consumer law, with they should be linked where appropriate. The various credit formulas devised in practice, the methods of promotion and marketing and the contractual clauses are all points of attention. More generally, the course looks at techniques for protecting weaker parties, the fight against overindebtedness and the challenges and issues of European harmonisation.

Students must be able to distinguish the different types of credit and to analyse contractual terms.
