Learning unit contents
Raising awareness of enterprises and their many relationships with different branches of law. Introduction to Ohada law: the Ohada project, achievements. Examination of different situations encountered by the entrepreneur and Ohada rules. How should entrepreneurial activity be structured?
- the merchant and the entrepreneur as natural persons: concept, status, liability, etc.; registering the business; setting up: renting business premises; transferring a business (examination of certain aspects of the Uniform Act on Commercial Law).
- Choice of company form: what are the basic rules for incorporating a company; what rules must be followed in the course of the company's business (examination of certain aspects of the Uniform Company Law Act).
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
- Understanding of the Ohada 'project
- Understanding of the legal issues involved in setting up and running a business and the solutions proposed by Ohada law;
- Ability to identify questions and provide answers, either by reading and analysing the Uniform Acts or by understanding the solutions proposed by specialists.
