Learning unit contents

Introduction and definitions related to the agri-food sectors (new perception of food);

Relationships between the different links in the agri-food sectors;

Examples of agri-food sectors:

- Milk sector (complete presentation as an example study);

- Fruit and vegetables sector ;

- Cereals sector;

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

Introduce students to the main agri-food sectors with a focus on:
1- Key dat specific to the sector;
2- The properties of raw materials processed within the chain;
3- The technologies and products marketed within the chain;
4- Highlighting production-processing-distribution relationships;
5- Data on the sustainability of the sector.

At the end of the course, the student must be able to:
* Have a clear vision of all agri-food sectors;
* Identify the specific relationships and constraints for each agri-food sector;
* Understand the main processes and technologies used in the agri-food field;
