The course will cover recent theories of the ongoing transformations of the organisation of the state at the level of its administration:
- NPM, NWS and wicked problems;
- Building state capabilities;
- Governing by numbers;
- Comparative analysis of change in PA;
- Professionals in public administration;
- NGO's in PA;
- Public Sector innovation;
- Governance & leadership
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
Develop a critical approach of the emerging issues in the domaine of public administration, and the theoretical tools to manage these issues.
Prerequisite knowledge and skills
Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Students have to analyse a question of reform of a public administration (on the basis of a group field research and bibliographic research/ 2p per group ). It will be presented during the examen(january 2023) and each group of students will have to write a report (no later than 30/12/2022)

Lectures are organised once a week on the basis of a series of articles and texts (English) to be read in advance.
Personal research carried out in preparation for the examination will contribute to the appropriation of this subject and will allow for a personal approach.
