Learning unit contents
Health simulation, through the use of different tools to reproduce in a more or less realistic way clinical situations, would bring an important added value in the training of health professionals. Simulation allows active participation and strong adherence of learners in the learning process. It also makes it possible to fill, facilitate and homogenize the training of health professionals.
This course will focus on a particular type of simulation, standardized human simulation based on the patient. This allows the development of communication skills with the patient when there is a strong stake (announcement of a disease, a treatment, etc.) or when it is necessary to give complex information to a patient (eg benefit / risk information). It allows simulated consultations.
In this course, we will discuss the value of simulation in learning, for patients, of situations encountered in chronic care paths.
Each student will:
- Create the scenario of a standardized patient, with the objectives of transversal learning the development of communication strategies facilitating the relationship but also the competences specific to the therapeutic education of the patient.
- Create an evaluation grid specific to this scenario
- Test this scenario in a role-playing game.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
