Learning unit contents
The objective of this course is to provide the student with elements required to interpret and to analyze critically a systematic review - meta-analysis on a topic related to public health.
The course focuses on the following topics:
- Systematic review of the literature;
- Advanced bibliographic search;
- Meta-analysis;
- Assessment of the risk of bias of included studies;
- Critical approach to systematic reviews - meta-analyses.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
At the end of this course, the student will be able to interpret and to analyze critically a systematic review - meta-analysis on a topic related to public health.
Prerequisite knowledge and skills
The skills acquired in METO1021-1 will be useful in achieving the competencies in METO1024-1.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods
This course will consist of face-to-face sessions, several podcasts, and individual work at home.
