This course is not organised during even years (it is organized during the academic year 2021-2022 but will not be organized during the year 2022-2023). This course is dedicated to the aspects of Belgian law regarding work and employment contracts ; The themes for the 2021-2022 academic year are as follows:

Learning outcomes of the learning unit
At the end of the course, students should be able to master both the theoretical and practical features of a limited but important field of employment law. Thanks to the knowledge acquired students will be prepared to examine other areas of employment law.
Prerequisite knowledge and skills
An advanced knowledge of the general theory of obligations is strongly recommended. Furthermore the course is likely to pose significant problems to students who has not passed the exam of Droit du travail et de la sécurité sociale inscrit (B3 droit), and for those with no legal background.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Course participation requires preparatory work consisting of reading up relevant decisions and commentaries, as well as the writing of a short text (resolution of a practical case or study of a particular question). The oral course is based on an exchange of questions and answers on the themes prepared.

Additional information:
Depending on the number of students, the exam will be written or oral (and the same in the second session). In addition, an ongoing evaluation will be carried out throughout the year on the basis of written work and active participation in the course.
