Schedule
Units courses prerequisite and corequisite
Prerequisite or corequisite units are presented within each program
Learning unit contents
This learning unit includes 4 weeks of practical activities : radiology (1 week), clinical biology (1 week) and infectiology and parasitology (2 weeks). The program is detailed in each sub-unit.
Clinical Biology
Medical imaging
The teaching will include radiology of small animal, production animal and equidae.
Previous knowledge will be tested on Monday morning.
During the week, students will mainly work on eCampus and interactive feed-back sessions will be organized.
The learning objective is to stimulate students to observe images and reason about the interpretation of the image. The objective is not the learning of knowledge but the guided exercise of the capacity of observation and reflection on images.
Prior to this week, a mandatory formative radioanatomy test must have been completed on eCampus.
Then during the week the students will have independent work sessions to carry out on eCampus (online) which will focus on the analysis of the radiographic image and radiographic semiology. After each test carried out on e-campus daily, an imaging supervisor will carry out with the students, each day, in an interactive way the correction of these tests, will answer their questions and will animate their reflections between students and between students- supervisor (face-to-face or online on Teams).
The students of this course will replace the Master3 students in the medical imaging clinic. They will thus be able to carry out x-rays in the room, attend ultrasounds, write x-ray reports and discuss discussions between clinicians.
A final weekend training test, on e-campus, to be carried out on Friday, individually and independently, allowing students to self-assess on the concepts acquired during the week. A morning will be more practical because you will be immersed in the clinic. You will replace Master3 students in the medical imaging clinic. You will be able to perform x-rays in the room, attend ultrasounds, write x-ray reports and discuss discussions between clinicians.
Infectiology and veterinay parasitology
The students participate interactively in (1) clinical case presentations, (2) practical work on the modalities of sampling and diagnostic tools, (3) external activities and (4) briefing/debriefing of the external activities
Learning outcomes of the learning unit

Clinical Biology
Medical imaging
The main objective of the teaching activity is to stimulate the students to image analysis through interaction with the teachers.
Infectiology and veterinay parasitology
The aim is to encourage students to adopt a cross-disciplinary approach to the diagnosis, prevention and control of infectious and parasitic animal diseases. The briefing and debriefing sessions related to external activities are interactive. Their aim is to encourage students to develop critical skills about the actions taken during consultations or biosafety audits.

Blended learning
Additional information:
The teaching is hybrid and includes a self-learning part by the sudent and a feed-back. The feed-back will be delivered in presence or on-line.
Infectiology and veterinay parasitology
Face-to-face course
Additional information:
Paraclinics are organized over 2 consecutive weeks (10 mornings). The full program is available on e campus and presented to students during the introductory session on Monday of the first week. The case studies, practical work, seminars and extra-muros activities are taught by different services : immunology, vaccinology, epidemiology, virology, bacteriology, parasitology, mycology and pathology of wildlife.

Lectures of the 2nd and 3rd blocks of the Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Medicine and the 1st block of the Master's degree: See : Prerequisite knowledge and skills. Vaccination and deworming programs for companion animals, equines and production animals are prerequisites for extra-mural activities organized during the paraclinical activities.
Assessment methods and criteria
Exam(s) in session
Any session
- In-person
written exam ( multiple-choice questionnaire )
Continuous assessment
Out-of-session test(s)
Additional information:
The overall evaluation is balanced as follows: Clinical Biology (25%), Radiology (25%) and infectiology and parasitology (50%). There is no absorbent note in case of failure of one of the 3 sub-units. If the overall evaluation is not validated, the student will represent the sub-unit(s) where he/she failed.
