Work placement of 20 consecutive business days in an company active in geology.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
Learning to work as a geologist in a company and perceive the issues and opportunities of the business world.
Prerequisite knowledge and skills
Strong knowledge of geology et earth sciences, Master 2 level.

20 consecutive business days, in the company.
A time slot for the work placement is freed during the first hald of the second quadrimester, but it is possible to organise the work placement at another moment during the academic year. Please rapidly contact Prof. V. Fischer in that case.

Additional information:
Evaluation by intership supervisor following a detailed evaluation grid. The weighting of each criteria will be done by Prof. V. Fischer, after a debate with the students.
The student will also provide an activity report, which is independent from the reports possibly required by the intership supervisor. This report is confidential between the student and Prof. V. Fischer and will be submitted before the end of the academic year (around mid-May).

Organisational remarks and main changes to the course
A list of the companies that can host students will be given to the students at the beginning of the second quadrimester, or earlie if the student decides to organise her/his work placement earlier in the academic year.
Students are also encouraged to look for other possible companies.
After a diIt is up to the students to contact the company and to apply, in the manner of a job application, after notifying Prof. V. Fischer.
