The lectures will be organised along three main chapters.

The second chapter will be devoted to an analysis of the scope of the powers conferred on the European Union. It will include a presentation of the general principles of the functioning of the EU, such as the principle of subsidiarity. In addition, an in-depth study of competences and practical examples of their implementation will be provided.
The third chapter aims to provide an overview of the Common Foreign and Security Policy. Its history, mechanisms, evolution and future prospects will be at the heart of the study of the European Union's capacity and ambitions to project itself as a powerful player on the international stage.
