- Understand and know the normal alignment of the rachis in the various plans of the space and the factors which influence it.
- Understand and know the potential mobility of the spinal elements according to the specific anatomy of the various segments.

At the end of the teaching, the student will have the basics to:
- discuss the recommendations related to low back pain management,
- evaluate spinal statics and recognize dysfunctions (eg. Scoliosis, hyperlordosis, hyperkyphosis...)
- assess the musculature involved in spinal dysfunction/pain
- appreciate the sensorimotor lumbar control
- discuss risk factors of low back pain in athletes,
- describe the different phases and objectives of the management of the athlete with low back pain until the return to sport,
- make recommendations regarding physical activities/sports to people with low back dysfunction/pain.

Student participation in practical work sessions is obligatory. A student who is not present at minimum 2/3 of practical work sessions may be refused access to the written exam.
