Learning unit contents
The course "Méthodes d'action systémique - partim 2" aims to put into practice the systemic concepts, models, and intervention tools taught in the "Méthodes d'actions systémique Partim 1 (PSYC5924)" course. The course will focus on the concrete application of the main basic concepts of clinical interviewing, relational diagnosis, redefinition, and action methods according to a systemic approach.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
At the end of the course, students will be able to conduct a systemic counselling with individuals, couples and families. They will be able to analyze their intervention methods, and critically assess whether their practical choices are in line with clinical usefulness.
They will demonstrate an exemplary professional posture, and will master the concepts of systemic clinical intervention.
Prerequisite knowledge and skills
Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of systemic psychology is fundamental to attend the course and fully benefit from it.
It is also mandatory to have taken the course "Méthodes d'action systémique Partim 1 (PSYC5924)".
Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The objective is to practice the elements covered during the course Partim 1, and to practice couples and families counselling.
Depending on the number of students registered, the course will be divided into several modules.
First, we will follow family therapy step by step. The students will propose a role play in groups and will have to embody the therapist as well as the patient. Then, in a large group and under the supervision of teachers, we will analyze in depth the content of the sequence/session in order to identify systemic hypotheses.
The various intervention methods used will be analyzed and theoretical-experiential reflections will be made.
Students will then be asked to reflect on the clinical practices that will be presented to them.
