Learning unit contents
This course will focus on the caregiver's approach and will seek to understand how a older person faces and adjusts to a stressful life event. This will be illustrated through a real situation encountered by individuals suffering from Alzheimer's disease (or a related syndrome) from their relative (i.e. spouse, parent, or other).
Furthermore, according to the time left, other topics could be addressed as the risk (and fear) of falling, the end of life, etc .

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
This course will alternate between lecture, and eventually workshops and clinical exchanges based on vignettes or videos.

Face to face learning that is intended to be interactive. Active participation and class attendance are required.

Written exam (open questions) that will combine theoretical knowledge and clinical standpoint.
If the number of students enrolled in the course was very high, a part of the exam (or all of it) will take the form of multiple choice questions (MCQ). If this MCQ device was considered, students would be notified at least one month in advance.
