Students are required to design detailed preparations in accordance with the expectations set out in the didactics course of the discipline.
These preparations will be presented to the assistants of the didactics department of the discipline at least one week before the beginning of the internships. They will also be given to the internship supervisor before the concrete implementation of the lessons.
Reflective practice
- Explanation by the students of their representations of the teaching profession;
- Discussions on problems encountered during the preparation of lessons, tool analysis of classroom situations.
- Approach of error as a means of progress.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
At the end of this teaching unit, the student will be able to
- mobilize methods of observation and analysis of teaching practices;
- provide an first pedagogical sequence in a school environment, under the direction of a tutor (cf. Vade Mecum evaluation grid).
Teaching placements
At the end of these internships, students will be able to design and implement a learning and evaluation sequence in the field of media education and the teaching of performing arts.
The instructions and criteria are explained in the vade mecum given to students in the first course.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written work / report
Other : Internship
Further information:
Students will demonstrate their observation and reflexivity through their concrete contribution to the course sessions on teaching practices.
Each teaching internship will be evaluated on a triple basis: (i) the assessment of the tutor; (ii) the assessment of the specialised didacticians and (iii) the internship report provided by the student. The precise modalities of the evaluation are provided in the Vade Mecum.
Assessment takes place during the year (cf. training periods defined by CeFEN). The very nature of the course, which requires work to be done in the field during the school year, means that it is not possible to organise a second assessment session in August if a shortfall is noted during the June session.
Grades communicated via the eCampus gradebook are for information only, pending deliberation.

Teaching placements
Written work / report
Other : internship
Additional information:
During the first course, students receive a detailed internship evaluation grid that allows them to become familiar with the internship evaluation criteria. All the evaluators (practicum supervisors, members of the discipline's didactic department and instructors) use this evaluation grid as a basis.
Each practicum is visited at least once by a member of the teaching service team.
At the end of each internship period, students will submit an internship report.
The placement visit and the placement report will be the subject of personalized feedback.
Grades communicated via the eCampus gradebook are for information only, pending deliberation.
