This course is mainly an introduction to the physics of in-vivo medical imaging.

Prerequisite knowledge and skills
Some of the concepts on material and electromagnetic waves and on quantum and nuclear physics studied in the courses Physics II and Physics III.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods
This learning unit make use of different leraning and teaching activities such as on-line courses, face-to-face courses and practical works. Video documents are projected during the courses. They are full part of the course contents.

The theoretical course is mainly online. Much more active participation of the students is expected during the few face-to-face courses, the courses dealing with the introduction to digital images and for the practical works.
