Learning unit contents
The course will be devoted to the reading of Plato's Republic.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
The aim of the course is to learn how to read Plato's dialogues.
Prerequisite knowledge and skills
No knowledge of Ancient Greek is required.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods
After a general introduction, every session will have the form of a seminar, in which we will read collectively a portion of the text. Every participant in his turn will be asked to prepare one section.

Course materials and recommended or required readings
The course will be devoted to reading Plato's Republic. Students will receive a bibliography during the first lessons. They are also invited to find access to the following translation:
- Platon, La République, tr. P. Pachet, Paris, Gallimard, 1993.
