Learning outcomes of the learning unit
This course covers specific problems related to the transformations of buildings, focusing on the integration of heating, ventilation and contemporary comfort techniques within the framework of heritage projects.
The primary objective is to make students aware of particular procedures that are made necessary in a situation in which there is a built object which has to be transformed.
Prerequisite knowledge and skills
Knowledge of construction techniques (basis). Knowledge of basic elements related to energy and HVAC issues
Planned learning activities and teaching methods
This is presented in the form of projects that are carried as far as the details of construction, drawings, calculations that would be required, and the elaboration of the order and sequence of phases of construction.
Mode of delivery (face to face, distance learning, hybrid learning)
The theoretical part of the course is presented in two hour class sessions, including on one hand the theoretical procedures applicable to the transformation of buildings, and on the other hand the projection of numerous examples of projects carried out in real situations.
