Learning unit contents
The course aims to develop the skills of the student in terms of documentation of the built heritage.
The class works on the acquisition, modeling and 2D-3D representation of built elements.
The conservation-restoration of heritage starts from a previously constructed context. Documentation of the existing state of heritage is paramount.
The course will address the theoretical and technical aspects of two major acquisition families, namely 3D photomodelling and lasergrammetry. It will also address the basic topographical notions necessary for the implementation of the aforementioned techniques.
Subsequently, based on data acquired, students will learn the methods of exploitation of these data to derive the representations "2D" and "3D" useful for the design of a project.
The course includes practical achievements. The subject used will be related to the student project.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
At the end of the course, the student must be able to:
- Understand, manipulate and reproduce a 3D acquisition using lasergrammetry tools
- Understand, manipulate and reproduce 3D acquisition using multi-image photogrammetry tools
- Produce a 3D model of the data acquired to feed, in particular, a H-BIM system.
- Manipulate the modes of representation of elevations of facades.
- Know and implement the general principles of heritage documentation
