The course has several components:
1. Theoretical presentation on research in Literary studies
2. Group seminar
3. Presentations by guest teachers, on particular areas and methods
For the group seminar, students will be invited to bring:
- personally chosen theoretical readings
- personal issues, discussed in a group.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
The course "Introduction to Research in Literary Studies" tests the following skills: reading and understanding an important contribution in a specific field, based on a scientific text, freely chosen; situating this contribution in its context; developing a personal point of view, separate from that of the author's, following an original line of enquiry.
The student should follow the typographical standards of scientific writing in the field studied.
