Learning unit contents

From this year onwards, the course will take the form of a TFB (Travail de fin de Bachelier), supervised by a collegial body of teachers in the field.

The aim of the TFB is to prepare students for scientific reading and writing in the disciplines involved in Romance Studies, with a view to their Master's thesis.

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

The aim of the TFB is to guarantee mastery of the minimum skills required to independently develop a personal and original research project, namely:

- to formulate a research problem;

- to identify the relevant bibliography;

- to read, understand and synthesize a scientific text;

- to write a follow-up text in a clear, structured manner, articulating several points of view and setting out a personal position.

Prerequisite knowledge and skills

To have acquired the necessary credits to access this Bac3 course.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

TFBs will be monitored on an individual basis, in Q2.

Face-to-face only.

Further information:

The TFB is assessed on the basis of individual written work. Each TFB will be assessed by the supervisor who will have accompanied the student, and will have defined the precise terms and conditions.

The TFB must be returned to its supervisor on the first day of the examination session.
