Learning unit contents

The seminar will focus on a specific issue of medieval French literature (in both oc and oïl) and look at it in-depth, and introduce students to research (initiating students in the use of specialised instruments). Students will attend scientific meetings, colloquia and workshops of the RMBLF, and conferences held by the Transitions research group.

 





 

 

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

Students will be able to carry out a scientific study, produce coherent and pertinent research in the chosen theme (medieval languages and literature) and to present it both orally and in writing.

Prerequisite knowledge and skills

Choose the course Philology and Mediaeval Literature in the module of general Masters courses.

Oral presentations, collective discussion. Written works.

Further information:

Students will be evaluated on the basis of two essays (one for each part of the paper).

Each paper will be the subject of an oral presentation to be discussed at a seminar session.

The final evaluation will be also take into account the (minor) oral presentations by the students during the seminar and, in general, of their active participation in the course.
